Don’t miss RAILconnect at CUTA’s Annual Conference and Canadian Transit Show
RAILconnect is the premier rail industry event in Canada
Back by popular demand at the Canadian Urban Transit Association’s annual conference in Toronto (Nov. 18 to 21) CUTA is pleased to bring you RAILconnect. This specialized two-day event features an exciting list of speakers on technical rail topics.
The Monday RAILconnect stream will feature two rail-specific sessions in the morning showcasing rail projects and project teams from across the country. In the afternoon, there will be a tour of GO Transit’s new Toronto East Rail Maintenance Facility. The following day, the RAILconnect Theatre on the floor of the transit show will feature presentations from Canada’s rail systems, including LRT, subway and heavy rail.
Each presentation will be followed by a Q&A session and networking opportunities. The transit show will also feature rail industry partners with opportunities to connect, ask questions and learn more about the exciting direction of the industry in Canada and around the world.
First introduced in Montreal in 2015, RAILconnect is a great opportunity to meet industry professionals from Canada’s transit systems as well as manufacturers, suppliers, partners and stakeholders. The unique event allows both private and public decision-makers and business leaders to set the pulse of rail in Canada.
- Session 1 – Rebuilding London Bridge Station, passenger information during disruption and intelligent transit networks
- Session 2 – Green track (sustainable 21st century rail), Metrolinx’s 2041 regional express rail plan, and the value of disruptive technologies.
- Technical tours including the Leslie Barns (TTC’s new streetcar maintenance facility) and GO Transit’s newly opened Toronto East Rail Maintenance Facility.
RAILconnect Pavilion is a unique addition to the trade show. Come and learn about Canadian rail projects from coast to coast and hear the challenges and successes of transit systems through projects of different sizes, scope, ridership and infrastructure needs. Listen to short presentations at the pavilion – located in the heart of the trade show floor – and then visit the vendors who are bringing these rail projects to life.
