Atlanta to host American Public Transportation Association expo
The American Public Transportation Association’s Annual Meeting & Expo 2017 – the largest public transportation expo in the world – will bring together 12,000 public transportation leaders to explore the latest innovative technologies from autonomous vehicles to zero emission buses. It will take place Oct. 9 through 11 at the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta.
Leaders from more than 75 countries will address a wide range of topics including emergency preparedness and disaster relief, security, safety, federal funding, public-private partnerships, workforce development and shared mobility.
Public transit is crucial to our nation’s future. From emergency preparedness and cybersecurity to the impact of aging infrastructure and funding challenges, public transportation is a complex multibillion dollar industry that is a crucial part of the solution to many of the nation’s challenges.
Eight-hundred-plus global exhibitors will showcase technologies and products for improving safety, security, efficiency, and passenger comfort.
From full buses and rail cars to commercial car washes and every imaginable technology contributing to safety, security, efficiency and passenger comfort, the expo offers an exciting (and seemingly endless) array of visuals and interactive opportunities.
