Every day, transit systems and the companies that supply them keep our communities moving. But some people go above and beyond, and each year we honour excellence with the CUTA awards.
There are several categories. You can learn more about how to nominate someone here.
We honour individuals with four awards:
- William G. Ross Lifetime Achievement Award
to someone who’s shown exceptional service for at least 25 years. The winner is inducted into the CUTA Hall of Fame.
- Edward J. Dowling Award for Distinguished Service
to a transit professional who has excelled for 10 or more years.
to recognize single, major contributions that made public transit better.
for heroic acts that go above and beyond the call of duty.
And we also honour organizations through our corporate awards:
- Marketing and Communication
for excellence in advertising, corporate communications, or public relations.
- Environmental Sustainability
for systems whose projects helped our environment
- Safety and Security
for systems that took extra steps to keep riders and workers safe
to recognize excellence in using technology to make services more efficient
Hall of Fame
