Position Summary

The City of Lethbridge has an exciting career opportunity for a seasoned and innovative Senior Manager to assume responsibility for the overall leadership and administration of Lethbridge Transit Services. Reporting to the Director of Community Services, the Transit Manager will be responsible for an operation that involves the deployment and maintenance of three fleet divisions that include 48 transit, 31 Access a Ride buses and 58 school buses. This position will also have primary responsibility for leading a team of approximately 210 individuals that include management and unionized employees represented by three collective agreements. 


As the Transit Manager, you will use an analytical, systems-focused approach to deliver services that maximize efficiency and cost effectiveness, while meeting the needs of the community. You will assess data, operational systems, and monitor emerging issues and trends to identify process improvements and develop innovative solutions. You will also have responsibility for preparing and managing a 14 million dollar operating budget.
