CUTA is also working on our members’ behalf with government for Covid-19 support.

We’ve made three requests of Ottawa.

One, provide about $400 million a month to replace lost revenue.

Two, give access to $1.2 billion in relief funding for systems facing liquidity challenges.

And three, help us find and afford cleaning agents.

We’re working hard in Ottawa and in the media to get these messages out.

We’re also engaging with partner organizations.

The FCM, Association of Municipalities of Ontario, APTA and UITP.

 

We’re sharing messaging and learning from each other.

With one goal…to help transit weather this crisis and stay strong for the recovery.
