Network with colleagues. You asked for more networking opportunities at CUTA events, and we listened. The 2020 Spring Summit places a heightened focus on in-depth Q&A’s, roundtable discussions with relevant stakeholders, and group strategizing to find workable solutions to your transit challenges.

Experience a CUTA committee. While some committees are by invitation only, the majority are open to CUTA members in good standing. Attend a meeting and learn more about CUTA’s policy framework, research initiatives, solutions to common industry issues and more. Delegates arriving on May 10 can sit in with Workforce Development, Communications & Public Affairs, Business Members, Technical Services and its sub-committees.

Choose your seminar. Register for one of three seminars that suits your professional goals and needs. Structured concurrently, all delegates will have the opportunity to come together and network during the plenaries, networking breaks, technical tours, and evening social events.

  1. The Mobility revolution. This stream will provide a focused perspective on the application of technology in our current mobility revolution. Learn about integrated and multimodal on-demand mobility, wearable payment methods, automated bus technology and international fleet electrification initiatives. Sessions will culminate in our first-ever ‘Dragon’s Den’ style roundtable discussion where presenters will be engaged by attendees through in-depth Q&A’s and analysis of breakthrough products and initiatives.
  2. Innovation in rail. This seminar is focused on the innovative projects and initiatives that are happening in the rail industry. Partnering with the Railway Association of Canada, CUTA will provide members with a deep dive into the design and planning of major light rail and commuter rail projects in Canada. Delegates will collaborate with experts to develop strategies for how to engage in pubic-private partnerships to expand and improve rail networks.
  3. Transit Leaders Seminar (by invitation only). This exclusive seminar is specifically designed to provide transit system professionals at the highest level of management with the cross-disciplinary knowledge to make the informed decisions of tomorrow. Transit Leaders will meet in a collaborative environment to discuss the oversight of mega projects, federal infrastructure funding, contractors’ delivery and performance and digitalization and data.

Business members evening. Hosted by CUTA Business members, summit delegates will have the opportunity to participate in this widely anticipated social gathering. We are looking forward to another year of great food, conversation and networking with colleagues.
