The City of Fort Saskatchewan is seeking an experienced, innovative professional to join our Infrastructure & Planning Services Team. Reporting to the Director, Public Works, the Transit Supervisor is responsible for planning, implementing, leading and administrating the local transit system in Fort Saskatchewan and managing commuter service to Edmonton. The Transit Supervisor promotes the City’s commitment to diversity, inclusions and Truth and Reconciliation within the department, organization and community.
This position supervises and provides leadership and guidance to City staff, contractors and consultants, analyzing the effectiveness and economic impact of Transit and Transportation programs and all processes and procedures. The Supervisor is responsible for delivering effective service to internal and external clients and users of transit in Fort Saskatchewan. This includes providing excellent customer service, marketing, public relations to user groups, residents and public, and promoting the service at local events through media/advertising. The position can also provide support to Public Works transportation projects as assigned by the Director.
