JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Manager of Service Development, the Senior Transit Scheduler is responsible for providing leadership for the coordination and alignment of city-wide transit scheduling for current and future transit use throughout the City of Winnipeg. This includes strategic planning, coordination with the operational and planning teams within Transit plus analysis of data to ensure service levels are met and changes made to reflect operational and ridership needs.

Position requirements include:

• University Degree in Urban Planning, Engineering, Data Analysis, Computer Science or related fields. May consider a combination of related education (minimum Univ/College diploma in related field) and related experience.
• Masters in above education areas would be an asset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Experience providing strategic advice, leadership and guidance to Senior Management on complex issues
• Ability to lead change initiatives, navigate complex environments and influence desirable outcomes through effective and collaborative relationship management.
