    Position Overview:
    OPTA is seeking an experienced administrative professional to provide part-time support for administrative, committee, and event activities. This role is well-suited to a candidate with experience in municipal administration, transit operations, or association support who is comfortable working independently in a small organization. The position supports day-to-day administrative functions, committee coordination, and event planning activities.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Provide administrative support to the CEO, Board, committees, volunteers and broader OPTA team as required
    Maintain the accuracy of the OPTA membership database and membership directory
    Respond to member and public inquiries through email and online forms
    Assist with the organization, coordination, and content development for concurrent sessions at the Ontario Transportation Expo
    Support logistics and coordination for the Ontario Transportation Expo and fall regional meetings, including scheduling and participant communications
    Liaise with speakers, moderators, and stakeholders to support session preparation and ensure materials are shared with members following events
    Prepare correspondence, documents, presentations, and meeting materials using standard office software
    Maintain organized and accurate records related to committee activities, communications, and event planning

    Qualifications:
    Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a related field such as public administration, transportation, urban planning, or office administration
    Demonstrated experience providing administrative or coordination support in a professional environment
    Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and the ability to learn and use additional systems as required
    Understanding of public transit, municipal government, or association environments
    Strong written and verbal communication skills
    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively within a small team
