OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance, The incumbent will:
– Manage and supervise maintenance staff while ensuring provision of safe and clean buses for
revenue service
– Supervise the overall repair and daily servicing of the bus fleet ensuring they meet service
requirements
– Provide technical guidance and/or assistance to support quality assurance of repair work
– Assist the Manager, Maintenance in the overall operation of the garage through analysis of
technical planning and scheduling of work and maintenance of technical information
– Ensure all paperwork (e.g. repair orders and labour entries) are completed and processed in a
timely manner
– Participate in labour relations issues including bargaining committee during negotiations and
represent
– Commission in grievance and arbitration hearings
– Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental and safety rules and regulations
– Liaise with the Parts & Inventory Manager regarding procurement of repair parts and materials
