OVERVIEW
As the Project Engineer, Track and Way you will be responsible for managing quality, budget and schedule of capital projects associated with maintaining and improving Calgary Transit (CT) track infrastructure, by applying your technical understanding with a variety of disciplines including but not limited to civil, electrical and transportation engineering. Primary duties include:
• Manage implementation of Light Rail Transit (LRT) track maintenance and lifecycle replacement.
• Coordinate project activities with internal and external parties, consultants, and contractors including
ensuring that work permits and processes are followed with planning/executing maintenance or
construction activities to ensure that they are delivered on time and on budget.
• Initiate procurement of materials, equipment, or contractor services that are available to perform
services for year-round maintenance activities and capital projects.
• Prepare documents and evaluate bidder proposals to hire contractors, vendors, and engineering
consultants.
