Reporting to the Executive Director of Community Planning, Regulation and Mobility you will work with Council and be a member of the senior management team to:

Create and Communicate a Vision and Strategy: As the Director of Transit you are a significant contributor to our strategic plan as you co-lead one of our key strategic directions: A City that Moves. You will also ensure Transit’s five-year business plan stays current and relevant to the needs of the community.

Achieve Results: The transit system is important to making our community great and you will be focused on ensuring a safe, customer focused, and reliable transit service through our employees who take pride in delivering this service. You will have significant experience with both capital and operating budgets and comfortable with developing and making recommendations to Council on programs that may enhance service for residents.

Collaborate with Stakeholders: You are an influential, experienced and professional Transit leader who will engage and collaborate both across our organization and within the Transit industry, looking for new funding opportunities and identifying trends which may impact transit services.

Develop People: People make the system great, and as a highly experienced leader and relationship builder you are able to develop, inspire and motivate people, provide constructive feedback and ensure a respectful work environment.
