Metrolinx is connecting communities across the Greater Golden Horseshoe. Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. Our Network Planning Office within Planning & Development Division is looking to hire an Analyst to conduct technical transportation analysis in support of corporate business, regional, and long-range planning objectives.

What will I be doing?
• Analyzes and supports the development of regional and other transportation plans to accommodate growth, changing markets, provincial policies, and municipal transportation implementation plans; reviews and prepares corporate responses to studies, contracts, projects, development proposals, and other proposals by external stakeholders that provide relevant technical commentary, conclusions and recommendations
• Supports transportation planning projects, by:
o Coordinating research projects and schedules (i.e. identifies and monitors actions and responsible parties), and recommends corrections to identified project issues
o Formulating objectives, preparing data collection tools, tabulating and analyzing data
o Researching transportation requirements and services provided by other transportation systems
o Analyzing results and developing recommendations to support departmental projects and future initiatives
• Maintains and applies computer-based analytical tools to assess planning issues and proposals (e.g. modelling, Geographic Information Systems (GIS)) and analyze other quantitative data)
• Represents Metrolinx when dealing with external parties and the public to provide information to external stakeholders with respect to Metrolinx planning initiatives
